About the roleAs the Payroll Team Lead, you'll own end-to-end payroll for the business across weekly and fortnightly pay cycles.
You'll report to the National Payroll Lead and work within a team-oriented team of five.
You'll be a go-to person for employees and managers across the business, and a driver of compliance, accuracy and timeliness.What you'll be doingOverseeing daily payroll processing, including reviewing payroll data for accuracyManaging timesheets, salary and wage payments, EOM reconciliations and payments, and the distribution of payroll deductionsMaintaining employee recordsMaking sure all legislated requirements are met and reporting obligations are handled correctlyInterpreting Awards and applying them confidentlyIdentifying and correcting potential payroll issues before they become problemsSupporting payroll system enhancements and improving processes and efficienciesMentoring, developing and training team membersAbout youProven experience managing end-to-end, multi-frequency payroll cyclesStrong Award interpretation skillsA solid understanding of regulatory compliance and reportingWorking knowledge of payroll systems and processesExceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot and fix issues earlyStrong organisational,
