Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced MIG/GMAW Welders who are keen to step into the next phase of their career and learn robotic / 3D welding.
This is a permanent full time opportunity with a manufacturer producing high-strength metal components for the defence, maritime and aerospace industries.

About the role
You'll work with robotic GMAW welding cells—supporting start-up, running and shut-down, monitoring weld quality, and completing documentation to a high QA standard.
What you'll need (essential)
StrongMIG/GMAW weldingbackground
A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learnrobotic welding
Ability toread engineering drawings/ work packs and follow quality procedures
Comfortable using computers forproduction / QA documentation
Understanding of WPS and ability to adjust key variables (within procedure)
Strong focus onsafety, quality and attention to detail
Experience inquality / process controlOR leadership exposure (documentation-focused)
Australian citizenship
Qualification preferred:Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fabrication stream) or equivalent trade background.
Desirable (nice to have)
Exposure to robot interfaces (offline programming experience highly regarded)
Fabrication experience related to robotic equipment / automation
AutoCADexperience
