About the Role
You will provide technical and operational support to the delivery of safe, effective and timely pharmacy services across St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne.
Working under the direction of pharmacists, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of medication distribution, dispensing, inventory management and pharmacy support activities while maintaining compliance with legislative, professional and organisational requirements.
Satellite pharmacy and dispensary work
Imprest and stock management
Complete paperwork from prescriptions to ensure PBS claiming and patient invoices are accurate
The classification for this position is TH6 ($65,042 per annum).
Your Contribution
Certificate III in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) course or equivalent awarded by a registered Training Organisation or as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Victoria
Computer knowledge and skill
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Demonstrated ability of work as a member of a team
Valid work visa for Australia
Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain
Hospital Pharmacy technician experience preferred

The Pharmacy Department
The Pharmacy Department at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne provides comprehensive pharmacy services across acute, sub-acute and ambulatory care settings.
Pharmacy technicians are integral members of the healthcare team, supporting the safe, effective and timely delivery of medication management services through the use of pharmacy dispensing, inventory management and electronic medical record systems.
Technicians work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in a highly regulated environment and contribute to service excellence, patient safety, continuous quality improvement and workforce development.
