Job Summary
The Machinery Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations.
This role supports the maintenance team by identifying mechanical issues and assisting in equipment upkeep.
This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision.
Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.
We are looking for a Pump Fitter to join our Maitland Service Centre team in Australia.
Please note, no visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Stripping and survey pumping equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition in
Employ fault finding methodology for pumps repair accordance with QA procedures
Carrying out pressure testing of pumps to ensure functioning correctly
Reading and checking job cards to determine job status, work authorizations / limitations, estimate, description of problems, and /or expected serviceability
Rebuild pumping equipment in accordance with applicable pump standards
Support and encourage personnel development through organized training regimes
Provide service delivery that is customer focused, flexible and adaptable

Minimum Job Requirements




Education Requirements
Trade Certificate III Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
Secondary School - Year 10
Key skills / Experience / Role Requirement
Work experience or expressed interest in rotating equipment
Attention to detail
High level of communication skills
Good level of time management
Ability to engage and work with others
Dedication to working in a protected manner always
