About Us

Lockyer District State HIgh School is a school of around 1000 students, located at Gatton in the picturesque Lockyer Valley.

The successful applicant will, as Head of Department of Humanities, Business and LOTE,



be responsible for leading:

- The leadership of the Humanities, Business and LOTE faculties, to design curriculum and cross curricula learning experiences that meet the requirements of the Australian Curriculum V9, and QCAA, including embedding the pedagogy toolkit and moderation practices
- Oversight of the management of the annual Ageo International Study Tour to Lockyer District State High School
- Academic Excellence Program, and other extracurricular activities
- Capability building of teachers and faculty staff
- Operationalisation of the Faculty Improvement Plan and management of the faculty budget
- Quality teaching and learning
- Supporting student behaviour, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders
- School events
