At Marinus Link, we value our people and their contributions to our shared success. We’re seeking a Project Engineer – Converters who thrives in a collaborative and high-performing environment. This is your opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant project by supporting the Converter Stations Project Delivery team and driving effective coordination across the Converters (CDSE and CDCS) delivery packages.
If you’re motivated by Marinus Link’s purpose to interconnect Australia’s renewable energy for future generations and our mission to deliver Marinus Link in a timely, efficient and sustainable way to ensure long-term benefits to communities and consumers, we want to hear from you!
Your Role
As a Project Engineer – Converters, you’ll provide project management and interface coordination support across the Converter Design Supply Equipment (CDSE) and Construction Services (CDCS) packages at Heybridge and Hazelwood. Working closely with Senior Project Managers, Engineering & Quality Services, construction teams and key stakeholders including AusNet and TasNetworks, you’ll help coordinate the technical, schedule, logistics and delivery interdependencies required for safe, timely and quality-assured converter station delivery.
You’ll:
- Coordinate interface matters between CDSE and CDCS, including technical documentation, design inputs, construction requirements, technical clarifications, site constraints and cross-package dependencies.
- Monitor schedule interdependencies across CDSE, CDCS and TNSP interfaces, including engineering deliverables, construction readiness, site access, contractor handovers and key interface milestones.
- Coordinate technical documentation, engineering queries, interface registers, action trackers, decision logs and package-level coordination records.
- Support equipment logistics readiness for site deliveries, including technical documentation, access constraints, sequencing requirements and alignment with construction and installation schedules.
- Coordinate interface and schedule matters with AusNet and TasNetworks, including outage requirements, access windows, connection-related deliverables and TNSP dependencies.
- Work with Engineering & Quality Services to support multidisciplinary reviews across HVDC systems, high-voltage substations, control and protection, civil design, quality, safety in design, maintainability and performance requirements.
- Identify and escalate risks, interface issues,
documentation gaps, constructability constraints, programme constraints and other coordination blockers that may impact converter station delivery.
- Support safety, quality, environmental, construction-readiness, logistics-readiness and commissioning-readiness activities across the project.

- Working knowledge of design review processes, document control workflows, engineering query management, technical document registers, action tracking, risk management and technical assurance practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information, schedule dependencies and interface issues into clear actions, decisions and management-level updates.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and delivery-focused approach to managing competing priorities and maintaining momentum across project interfaces.
- A collaborative working style, with confidence engaging internal teams, contractors, consultants, logistics providers and network interface stakeholders across Heybridge and Hazelwood.
