The Prospect:

In addition to supporting the month-end close, you will be in charge of overseeing financial reporting and ensuring accuracy of financial data. In this role, you will utilise your strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to manage multiple priorities, with a preference for candidates with exposure to the construction industry.

Key aspects of this role include:

- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements as part of month-end, half-year and year-end reporting processes, including preparation of financial statement note disclosures and analysis of financial statement balances

- Liaise and work with external auditors to ensure appropriate interpretation of regulations and compliance. Review audit results and initiate direct corrective actions to remedy deficiencies.

- Assist in the preparation and completion of ANZ tax & fiscal filings

- Prepare Annual Payroll Tax Annual Reconciliations, Annual STP,



FBT preparation and consolidation of data

- Assist in completion of month-end activities including posting month-end journals, consolidation of financial results and preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations

- Assist in various insurances management

- Assist with the half-year and year-end audit process, including provision of information and responding to audit queries in a timely manner

- Coordination of internal invoicing for corporate recharges and other intercompany transactions

- Assist with cash reporting and cash forecasting

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant - a team player with the following experience and capabilities:

- 5 Years post qualification, preferably within Big 4 Accounting firm experience.

- Strong understanding of IFRS and Australian accounting standards

- Prior working experience in construction industry ideal but not mandatory

- Strong demonstrated experience in statutory reporting,

- Knowledge SAP highly ideal but not mandatory

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- CPA/CA qualified or working towards
