RED Appointments is seeking 6 experienced Electricians for a short-term shutdown supporting switchyard and switchgear works associated with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Collie, Western Australia.

Working on behalf of a leading provider of operations, maintenance and asset management services within the power, utilities and energy sectors, you'll be supporting critical works associated with renewable energy infrastructure. This project involves testing and verification works on transformers, earthing systems and switchgear infrastructure connected to a BESS facility.

Due to the short duration of the shutdown, accommodation will not be provided and candidates must be able to travel to and from site each day.

The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for local WA electricians to secure a well-paid shutdown assignment while gaining exposure to Australia's growing renewable energy sector.

Working as part of an experienced electrical team, you will be involved in:

- Testing earthing systems
- Transformer testing and verification
- Switchgear inspection and maintenance activities
- Electrical works associated with a BESS installation
- General shutdown and commissioning support

The shutdown is scheduled for 18-20 November, with the possibility of a half-day on 21 November if required.

About You You are an experienced Electrician who takes pride in delivering safe,



high-quality work within industrial and power generation environments. You can work effectively within a team, follow strict safety procedures and contribute positively to shutdown activities.

You Will Bring

- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Current LVR/CPR
- Current White Card
- Experience in industrial, switchyard, substation, renewable energy, power generation or utility environments
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

At least two positions require:

- HRWL-WP (Boom Type EWP)
- Working at Heights

Previous experience within switchyards, substations, renewable energy facilities, BESS projects or high-voltage environments will be highly regarded.

- Suitable locations may include Collie, Bunbury, Australind, Harvey, Waroona and surrounding areas
- Daily travel allowance payable in accordance with site arrangements
