An exciting opportunity is available to join Yellow Iron Construction Equipment in Melbourne, Victoria. We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Interpreter who understands the importance of sourcing the right parts, providing accurate information and supporting customers and service teams to keep equipment operating efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone with proven parts experience, strong product knowledge and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, source and procure genuine OEM and aftermarket parts to support construction and earthmoving equipment sales, servicing and repairs.

- Manage incoming parts enquiries from customers, service technicians, workshop personnel and dealers, providing accurate parts identification, pricing and availability information.

- Prepare and process purchase orders, liaise with local Australian suppliers and follow up outstanding orders to minimise equipment downtime.

- Provide exceptional customer support, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently.

- Monitor supplier lead times, backorders and deliveries to ensure parts are available when required.

- Maintain accurate parts records, pricing, supplier details and inventory information within the company's systems.

- Work closely with the service and workshop teams to ensure parts requirements are met and repairs are completed on schedule.

- Develop strong working relationships with customers and suppliers, delivering a high level of service and support.

Skills & Experience





- Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter within the construction, earthmoving, agricultural or heavy equipment industries is essential.

- Strong knowledge of equipment parts identification, ordering processes and supplier networks.

- Demonstrated customer service skills, with a proven ability to support customers and build long-term relationships.

- Experience sourcing genuine OEM and aftermarket parts, ideally within an equipment dealership or service environment.

- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

- Confident using computer systems, parts catalogues and inventory management software.

- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
