The Prospect
Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Long-Term Locum General Medicine Registrar for a regional hospital in the Murrumbidgee region.
This role suits a registrar who wants one steady placement, from October into early 2027, rather than juggling short bookings around family and life outside work.
Shifts are paid at $150 per hour.
Clinical Environment
- General Medicine registrar role at a regional hospital
- Long-term locum block with a settled team around you
- Shift patterns may include evenings and nights depending on roster
- Escalation pathways available when you need them
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration
- Recent General Medicine registrar-level experience
- Clear communication and sound clinical documentation
- Ability to work safely within scope and escalate when needed
Benefits
- One long-term placement, so you can plan around family commitments
- $150 per hour, paid fairly for the time you give
- Credentialing and compliance support through Gorilla Jobs, so you can start with less paperwork
Location
The Murrumbidgee region offers regional living with space, community and a slower pace than the city.
This is a strong opportunity for a General Medicine registrar wanting a balanced, settled regional placement.
Referral Program
Also, if locum work isn't for you at the moment but you know another doctor who may be interested, we do have a referral program. Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
