Mining Access Legal provides high-level legal advice and representation for the resources sector. They are currently looking for an experienced commercial and resources lawyer.
The Role
You will be joining a specialist boutique firm recognised for their pragmatic approach and deep understanding of the resources sector.
The Partners have top tier law firm backgrounds as well as experience working for resources groups as Legal Counsel. They have a down to earth approach and are great mentors and colleagues.
You will be working closely with sophisticated resources and mining exploration companies. You will provide them with commercially focused legal advice and representation across all phases of the project cycle.
Your matters will include:
- End-to-end legal advice for all mining projects from tenement application through to decommissioning and rehabilitation.
- Commercial and contractual advice specific to mining and exploration companies.
- Disputes involving mining tenements, including representation for matters in the Wardens Court,
such as Mining Act objections, Applications for Forfeiture and Plaints.
- Strategic advice on land access processes, mining access agreements and pastoral access agreements.
- Native Title and Environmental and Regulatory Approvals
Your Background
As the ideal candidate you will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in resources, construction or commercial law. You will have a passion for mining law and enjoy working directly with clients at all stages of the project cycle.
