We are partnering with an established Australian technology and critical communications specialist to recruit an experienced RF & Motorola Communications Engineer for a permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Our client delivers mission-critical communications solutions across mining, construction, utilities, healthcare and government, supporting organisations that rely on secure, reliable communications infrastructure.

With a growing national project pipeline, they are looking for an experienced engineer with genuine hands-on expertise in RF systems and Motorola two-way radio technology.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on technical role involving the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of RF and Motorola communications systems across a diverse range of customer environments.

You'll work on projects involving two-way radio networks, push-to-talk solutions, communications infrastructure and coverage improvement initiatives.

The position offers exposure to varied technical environments, with opportunities to work alongside specialists across networking, security and communications technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot RF and Motorola two-way radio communications systems.
- Support the delivery of mission-critical communications infrastructure across customer sites.
- Undertake RF coverage testing, fault diagnosis and blackspot remediation.
- Assist with communications network design, implementation and optimisation.
- Provide technical support for push-to-talk and radio communications solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams on networking, security and integrated communications projects.




- Attend customer sites throughout Sydney and surrounding regions as required.

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with engineers who have:

- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Motorola two-way radio communications systems.
- Robust technical knowledge of RF communications infrastructure.
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting radio networks.
- Exposure to RF coverage testing, optimisation or blackspot remediation.
- Experience delivering technical solutions in field-based or customer-facing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Importantly, this is a specialist RF communications position rather than a general telecommunications or networking role. Direct experience with Motorola radio systems is essential.
