Distinction Dental Lab makes the full-arch implant restorations, crown and bridge, ceramics and appliances for all 11 of our practices across NSW and Queensland, from our base in the Sydney CBD. We design in exocad, mill and print in-house, and work side by side with our surgeons and dentists. Volume is growing as the group adds practices and as external clinics come on board, and we need an experienced lab manager to lead the team, run the numbers and keep quality and turnaround where they need to be as we scale.

What you’ll do

- Lead the lab team (full-arch designer/technician, ceramist and junior tech) and grow it as the lab grows
- Own quality on every case that leaves the lab: All-on-4/All-on-X, crown and bridge, ceramics and appliances
- Work directly with surgeons on case planning, try-ins and conversions, and lead the tricky cases
- Run the exocad, milling and printing workflow, equipment and suppliers
- Manage the lab budget and purchasing, and report monthly on the numbers to our CEOs
- Get the lab ready for external clients: service levels, turnaround and a great client experience

What you’ll bring

Must have:

- Experience managing a dental lab or leading a lab team




- A strong dental technician background with credibility in full-arch implant work, crown and bridge and ceramics
- Working knowledge of exocad and in-house milling and printing
- Experience running a budget, purchasing and lab reporting
- Calm, organised and transparent with clinicians, especially when the clock is ticking
- Full Australian work rights

Nice to have:

- Diploma of Dental Technology or equivalent
- Ceramic layering and characterisation
- Experience growing a lab’s external client base
