This is a hands-on accounts position supporting day-to-day financial administration within an environmental and occupational hygiene consultancy. Working with the administration team, you will process transactions, maintain accurate records, and help payments run smoothly in either Dubbo or Wagga Wagga.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and issuing client invoices using information provided by project staff
- Monitoring accounts receivable and following up overdue payments by phone and email
- Responding to invoice queries and working with colleagues to resolve discrepancies
- Processing supplier invoices, checking coding and obtaining the required approvals
- Processing purchase orders and matching purchases with invoices and supporting records
- Reconciling supplier statements and assisting with account reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Providing general accounts and administration support as required
About you
- Previous experience in accounts administration, accounts receivable, accounts payable or bookkeeping
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- A professional, confident approach to following up outstanding payments
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- A reliable approach to handling confidential financial information
- Experience using Xero would be highly regarded
