About the Role

Reporting to the Directors and working closely with our Executive Leadership Team, you'll play a key role in shaping our people strategy, strengthening organisational capability and fostering a positive, safe and high-performing workplace.

This is a broad and varied role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational HR management. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing practical, commercially sound advice on employee relations, performance management,

industrial relations and employment legislation.
- Coaching and supporting Managers to build leadership capability and confidently manage their teams.
- Identifying training and development needs, and designing, facilitating or coordinating learning and development programs.
- Working with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and maintain remuneration, bonus, commission and incentive programs.
- Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and initiatives that strengthen our workplace culture.
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of People policies, systems and processes.
- Providing leadership and oversight of WHS compliance, risk management, incident investigations, workers' compensation and rehabilitation.
- Supporting organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

About You

You're an experienced HR professional who brings a strong balance of strategic thinking, commercial awareness and practical problem-solving skills.

You're confident navigating complex employee matters, comfortable advising senior leaders and genuinely enjoy helping Managers get the best from their teams. Importantly, you're approachable, adaptable and able to build strong working relationships with people at all levels of the business.

To be successful, you'll bring:

- Proven experience in a senior generalist HR management role, ideally within a multi-site or operational business.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and contemporary HR practices.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations and performance issues.
- Experience in workforce planning, organisational development, recruitment and employee engagement.
- Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, risk management and workers' compensation.
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, systems and process improvements.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the machinery, automotive, construction, agriculture or similar industries would be advantageous, as would formal WHS qualifications.
