Looking to break into the technology industry?

Have the skills, motivation or interest in technology but finding it difficult to get your foot in the door?

Rise by Talent, in partnership with The King's Trust, is offering a 10-week program designed to help women from migrant or refugee backgrounds, aged 35 and under, gain the practical experience, industry connections and confidence needed to pursue a career in technology.

Whether you've studied technology, gained experience overseas, developed your own technical skills or are looking to transition from another industry, this could be your opportunity.

What you'll gain

- 4 weeks of paid industry experience – Work alongside technology professionals, contribute to real workplace activities and build relevant experience.

- 6 weeks of practical technology training – Develop technical skills, including preparation towards CompTIA A+ certification.

- Industry exposure and mentoring – Connect directly with employers and experienced technology professionals.

- Career development and support – Build your confidence, professional network and readiness to pursue employment opportunities after the programme.

We're looking for talent who:





- Has a genuine interest in building a career in technology.

- May have qualifications, overseas experience or transferable skills but are struggling to secure opportunities in the Australian technology industry.

- Demonstrate curiosity, initiative and a growth mindset.

- Are motivated to gain practical experience and take the next step towards employment.

- Can commit to the full 10-week full experience in person, Monday to Friday.

You don't need a technology degree or previous Australian tech experience to apply.

Where could this lead?

The program is designed to give you the paid work experience and career preparation needed to prepare you for entry-level opportunities across technology, including IT support, service desk, technology operations and other technology-related roles.

While ongoing employment is not guaranteed, you'll gain practical experience, industry connections and career support to help you pursue your next chance.
