Empire Steel is seeking an experienced Carpenter with a strong background in high-end residential construction to join our boutique architectural steel window and door company. Working closely with our Project Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing installations, coordinating a small crew and ensuring our bespoke steel windows and doors are assembled and installed to the highest standards. This is an opportunity to apply your existing skills to a specialised architectural product, develop new expertise and become an integral part of a highly skilled and respected team.
Key responsibilities
Lead and work alongside a small installation team on high-end residential projects.
Work closely with our Project Manager to coordinate installations and maintain project timelines.
Assemble, fit and install bespoke architectural steel windows, doors and associated features.
Interpret architectural plans, technical drawings and installation details.
Carry out precision carpentry, adjustments and finishing work to exceptional standards.
Liaise professionally with builders, site supervisors and other trades.
Ensure installations meet our strict quality standards and client expectations.
Maintain a safe, organised and productive working environment.
About you
Trade qualification in Carpentry with extensive hands-on experience.
Proven experience working on high-end architectural homes or luxury residential builds.
Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering flawless finishes.
Strong leadership skills and experience supervising or coordinating a small crew.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think independently.
Confidence reading and interpreting architectural plans and drawings.
Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with builders and clients.
A positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
A genuine passion for building, design and quality craftsmanship.
A current driver's licence.
