CVinternational has been exclusively engaged by a globally renowned luxury fashion house to appoint an experienced Assistant Store Manager within its prestigious Sydney CBD flagship boutique.

This is a senior store leadership opportunity for an accomplished luxury retailer who can balance commercial performance, people development, exceptional client service and operational excellence.

Working closely with the Store Director, you will act as their trusted deputy and assume leadership of the boutique whenever required. You will maintain a highly visible presence on the sales floor, lead by example and support the continued development of a positive, accountable and commercially focused team.

The chance

As Assistant Store Manager, you will:

- Support the Store Director in leading the overall commercial and operational performance of the boutique.

- Assume responsibility for the store and its team in the Store Director’s absence.

- Analyse daily, weekly and monthly results, identifying opportunities and developing clear action plans.

- Drive key performance indicators including sales, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, productivity and client retention.

- Translate commercial priorities into clear, achievable objectives for the leadership and sales teams.

- Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, leading client engagement and supporting the team during key trading periods.

- Deliver an exceptional luxury client experience from the initial welcome and selling ceremony through to clienteling and after-sales care.

- Support the development of long-term relationships with local, interstate and international clients.

- Drive client acquisition, CRM activity, personalised outreach, appointments, events and retention initiatives.

- Coach the team to identify relevant cross-selling and upselling opportunities across multiple product categories.

- Provide regular feedback, coaching and performance support to Department Managers and Client Advisors.

- Support recruitment, onboarding,



succession planning and the identification of high-potential employees.

- Promote accountability, collaboration and clear communication throughout the boutique.

- Conduct daily briefings and ensure the team understands commercial priorities, product information and company initiatives.

- Maintain detailed knowledge of collections, craftsmanship, market trends and local competitors.

- Ensure visual merchandising, product presentation, store image and employee grooming consistently meet luxury-house standards.

- Support inventory management, stock accuracy, replenishment, cash procedures, reporting and asset protection.

- Maintain effective cooperation between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

- Ensure company policies, procedures and operational standards are implemented accurately and consistently.

- Identify local commercial opportunities that could strengthen client engagement, boutique traffic and sales performance.

About you To be successful, you will offer:

- Established leadership experience within luxury fashion, premium designer retail or another highly elevated client environment.

- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager, Team Manager or Store Manager.

- A proven record of delivering sales targets, KPIs and commercial growth.

- Strong business acumen and confidence interpreting retail performance reports.

- The ability to convert commercial analysis into clear and practical actions for the team.

- Experience developing and maintaining high-value client relationships through appointments, outreach, events and considered follow-up.

- Strong coaching and people-development capability,



including performance management, succession planning and onboarding.

- A polished and credible leadership style, with the confidence to assume responsibility for the boutique when required.

- A hands-on approach and genuine willingness to support clients and employees directly on the sales floor.

- Strong knowledge of luxury fashion, product storytelling, styling and contemporary market trends.

- Sound understanding of stock management, inventory control and daily retail operations.

- Excellent communication, organisation, judgement and problem-solving skills.

- High standards of personal presentation, discretion, professionalism and attention to detail.

- Flexibility to work a rotating luxury retail roster, including weekends and peak trading periods.
