Motus Ballarat is a leading multi-franchise automotive dealership group representing a diverse range of brands across Ballarat.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Group Parts Manager to lead our Parts operations.
This is an important leadership position for someone who can drive operational performance, develop their team and deliver exceptional support to our Service, Sales and external trade customers.
The Role
As Group Parts Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operation of our Parts departments, with a strong focus on people, inventory, profitability and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage our Parts operations
- Manage, motivate and develop the Parts team
- Maintain effective inventory levels, stock control and parts availability
- Drive Parts sales, gross profit and overall department performance
- Develop strategies to grow retail, workshop and trade Parts sales
- Work closely with Service and Sales departments to maximise internal Parts opportunities
- Manage supplier relationships and requirements across multiple OEM brands
- Monitor stock ageing, obsolescence, purchasing and stock turn
- Maintain high standards of customer service
- Ensure manufacturer,
company and operational requirements are consistently achieved
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Parts Manager or in a similar senior Parts leadership role is preferred but not essential
- Strong automotive Parts and inventory management knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
- Solid commercial understanding of sales, gross profit and inventory performance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience working with dealership Parts and inventory management systems
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on results
