About the Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bandsaw Operator to join our Brick Steel distribution team.
This role plays a key part in preparing brick steel for distribution, ensuring materials are cut accurately, handled safely, and organised efficiently to support production and logistics. An immediate start is available for a suitable candidate following a successful interview process.
Key responsibilities include
- Cutting brick steel to required lengths in line with production requirements
- Selecting appropriate materials to maximise efficiency and minimise waste
- Assisting with unloading and safe storage of steel deliveries
- Operating and maintaining bandsaw equipment
- Operating a forklift to move and position stock
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Supporting the wider distribution team as required
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in a manufacturing, steel, or labouring environment
- A current forklift licence (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to measure accurately
- A proactive and reliable work ethic
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to assist across different areas when required
