About the role

Andonis Cafè & Bar is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Yeerongpilly, QLD, this role is essential to maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our growing cafe group! As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing our accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and providing critical support to our management team.

This position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst contributing meaningfully to a vibrant hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

- Recording and processing all accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner

- Managing supplier invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring proper approval before payment

- Reconciling bank statements and accounts payable records on a regular basis

- Maintaining detailed financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with accounting standards

- Processing payments to suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with payment terms and company policies

- Preparing financial reports and statements for management review

- Assisting with general bookkeeping duties including data entry, filing, and record-keeping

- Liaising with suppliers and staff regarding payment queries and discrepancies

- Supporting the preparation of financial information for tax and audit purposes

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar accounting role within the hospitality or service industry

- Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple transactions accurately

- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles, general ledger practices, and financial record-keeping standards





- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and invoice management

- Reliable numeracy skills and the ability to work with financial data with precision

- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a part-time capacity

- Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members

- Familiarity with hospitality business operations is highly desirable
- A qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is preferred
