Cater Care is seeking a 2nd Year Apprentice Chef to join our team at an education site in Parkville. This is a great opportunity to build on your existing skills, gain hands-on experience and continue developing your career in commercial cookery.

You’ll be involved in preparing, cooking and serving homestyle and gourmet meals, as well as supporting functions and events.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and serve quality homestyle and gourmet meals to meet service times
- Build your culinary skills through hands-on training and guidance from experienced chefs
- Develop your knife skills, cooking techniques, plating and food presentation
- Support catering for functions and events while maintaining consistent food quality
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen while following food safety standards

About You





- A 2nd Year Apprentice Chef looking to build on your existing skills and experience
- Passionate about food and committed to developing a career in Commercial Cookery
- Keen to learn, improve your techniques and take on new challenges
- Reliable, positive and able to work effectively as part of a culinary team
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen and committed to delivering quality food and service

Eligibility

Applicants must have the appropriate Australian work rights and be eligible to enter into and complete a full time apprenticeship in Victoria for the duration of the training contract.
