GHP Plumbing & Civil is seeking a reliable and organised Accounts Clerk to join our team.

Working closely with the Internal Accountant, you will provide support across the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business, helping ensure tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes.

This role would suit someone with previous accounts experience or someone looking to develop their skills and start a career in accounts. The right candidate will have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Process supplier invoices into accounting software, ensuring correct GL codes, job numbers and GST treatment.

- Reconcile supplier statements and assist with investigating and resolving discrepancies.

- Maintain accurate supplier records, including ABN checks and bank detail verification.

- Follow up overdue accounts by phone and email, escalating any issues to the Internal Accountant as required.

- Provide general administrative support to the Internal Accountant and wider team.

- Assist with improving processes and supporting the efficient operation of the Accounts Department.

About You

- Reliable, organised and punctual, with a strong attention to detail.

- Confident communicating with customers and suppliers by phone and email.

- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information.





- Willing to learn new systems and develop your knowledge of accounting processes and software.

- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

- Previous accounts or general accounting experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.

- Accounting or bookkeeping studies or qualifications will also be highly regarded.
