Quintarra Farms is looking for a reliable, capable Chaser Bin Driver/s to join the team for the 2026 harvest season in the Esperance region of Western Australia. This is a seasonal role operating large agricultural machinery as part of a small harvest team on a mixed farming operation running broadacre cropping alongside sheep and cattle.
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate a large tractor and chaser bin throughout harvest
- Work closely with header operators to ensure efficient grain collection and unloading
- Transfer grain safely into trucks or field storage equipment
- Communicate effectively with the harvest team using UHF radio
- Complete daily pre-start checks, including fluid levels, tyres, hydraulics and general machinery condition
- Assist with basic servicing, cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Monitor grain handling to minimise spillage, contamination and machinery damage
- Follow farm safety procedures, including machinery exclusion zones and fire prevention requirements
- Assist with machinery movements and other general farm duties when required
About you
Essential
- Proven experience operating large agricultural tractors or comparable heavy farm machinery
- A strong understanding of safe machinery operation
- Positive communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
- A reliable, practical attitude with good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small harvest team
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends during busy harvest periods, subject to safe working arrangements
- A current driver's licence and appropriate Australian working rights
Highly regarded
- Previous chaser bin or broadacre harvest experience
- Experience with GPS guidance and autosteer systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge and machinery servicing skills
- Familiarity with grain handling and loading procedures
- Previous experience working on Australian broadacre farms
