- Encourage women to participate in community programs and support networks that build confidence, inclusion and independence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, case notes and program documentation.
- Monitor client progress, contribute to service reviews and identify opportunities to improve support for women in the local community.
About You To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in community services, social work, social welfare, social science or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting women affected by domestic and family violence, trauma or social and economic disadvantage.
- Demonstrated skills in case management, risk and needs assessment, support planning, advocacy and service coordination.
- An understanding of the NSW justice system, Safer Pathway and relevant domestic and family violence service frameworks.
- Knowledge of women’s health and local housing, welfare, health and community support services.
- The ability to provide trauma-informed, strengths-based and culturally responsive support to women from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to feminist practice, social justice and community empowerment.
- Robust communication, community engagement and recordkeeping skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and case management databases.
- A current driver’s licence, Police Check and Working with Children Check, as required.
The ability to speak an additional language and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, where relevant to your qualification, will be highly regarded.
