My client is an established, well funded fintech lender helping small businesses grow. They’ve built a reputation for smart, data led credit decisions and a genuinely great place to work, and they’re now looking for a Credit Manager to lead their credit team.

What you’ll be doing:

- Leading and developing an experienced team of credit analysts
- Owning the daily queue and keeping decisions moving
- Being the escalation point on complex and larger deals
- Making the tough calls and explaining them clearly to Sales, brokers and senior leaders




- Balancing growth, loan profitability, credit policy and risk appetite
- Using workflow and quality data to spot trends and fix root causes
- Turning policy changes into practical guidance the team can use

What you’ll bring:

- Proven experience leading credit analysts or underwriters
- A current or previous DLA in commercial or SME lending
- A strong understanding of how a business makes money: cashflow, margins and profitability
- The presence to lead people who know their stuff, and the confidence to say no and stand by it
- Clear, concise communication with stakeholders at every level
- A highly analytical mindset and comfort with Excel and reporting
- A relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Business or similar
