About The Role
A well-regarded, locally owned public accounting firm in Mildura is looking for an Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join their team. With a broad service offering and a loyal regional client base, this firm punches well above its weight for a regional practice. You will manage your own client portfolio, work closely with experienced directors and have real scope to grow your career without relocating to a capital city.
What You Will Be Doing
- Preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns and BAS for a diverse client base including companies, trusts and partnerships
- Business services and tax compliance across a range of industries
- Tax planning and advisory work for small to medium business clients
- Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing and mentoring junior accountants
- Xero and cloud accounting file management
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years experience in public practice accounting
- Confident completing Division 7A, FBT and CGT calculations
- CA or CPA qualified, or working towards (open to experienced accoutnants without)
- Strong business services and tax compliance background
- Confident communicator with client-facing experience
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce
