We are looking for a motivated and hands-on eCommerce & Marketing Assistant to help grow our business and strengthen our external presence. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, creating content, improving websites and finding practical ways to make a business more visible and effective online. You will take an active role in managing our websites, eCommerce presence, LinkedIn and other social channels, while helping develop marketing content that builds brand awareness and supports business growth.
As a small business, we work collaboratively and everyone pitches in. Alongside marketing and eCommerce responsibilities, the role will include general administrative, office and assistant duties as required.
Key responsibilities
- Help develop and execute marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement
- Create and publish content for websites, LinkedIn and other social channels
- Help maintain a consistent and skilled external presence across our digital channels
- Assist with marketing collateral, presentations, campaigns and other business content
- Identify opportunities to improve our digital presence and proactively turn ideas into action
- Maintain and update our three WordPress websites
- Manage website content including pages, imagery, articles, products and service information
- Assist with improving and expanding the products and services offered through our eCommerce website
- Maintain and improve WooCommerce content, product listings and supporting material
- Monitor websites for content, usability or presentation issues and take ownership of getting them resolved
About you
- A self-starter who can identify what needs doing rather than waiting to be given a task list
- Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for the quality of our external presence
- Creative, practical and willing to experiment with new ideas
- A strong written communicator with good attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage multiple small projects and priorities
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small team
- Interested in learning new technologies and developing your skills
- Good understanding of digital marketing and content creation
- Good understanding of SEO and emerging GEO practices
- Confidence working with websites and digital content
