About the Role
As an experienced Florist, you will play an important role in the day to day operations of our retail stores and floral production.
Working alongside our Head Florists and wider team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality funeral arrangements, fulfilling customer orders and ensuring arrangements are prepared efficiently and to our high standards.
We have multiple opportunities available across our locations, with the potential to transition into full-time employment for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head & Senior Florist in overseeing the daily operations of the retail store.
Create high-quality floral arrangements for funeral services and other occasions.
Fulfil funeral orders accurately and within required timeframes.
Assist with inventory management, flower preparation and quality control.
Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
Support and mentor junior team members to maintain our high standards.
Assist with floral production to ensure timely delivery of arrangements across our locations.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of floral design techniques and current trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Floristry.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-volume, fast-paced floristry setting.
Previous leadership or senior floristry experience is highly regarded.
Experience in funeral floristry is strongly preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong technical floristry skills and creativity.
Sound knowledge of flower conditioning, handling and care.
Ability to create hand-tied bouquets and vase arrangements quickly and efficiently.
Experience creating funeral arrangements, including casket sprays, wreaths and sympathy tributes.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Ability to maintain consistent quality while working to deadlines.
