About the role

As a Fence Installer, you will work closely with the Leading Hand, Site Foreman and Project Managers to deliver quality fencing projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will be involved in all aspects of fence construction, from site preparation and post installation through to final completion.

Key responsibilities

- Install and repair timber, chain wire and metal fences and gates.

- Adhere to all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS/OHS) requirements and company procedures.

- Construct and repair fencing, guardrails, signage and related structures.

- Dig post holes and trenches for foundations and fence installations.

- Cut, shape, fit and assemble timber, steel and other construction materials.

- Mix and work with concrete, mortar, grout and related materials.

- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

- Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings and measurements.

- Use measuring devices and accurately read tape measures.

- Inspect materials, structures and equipment for defects and quality issues.

- Report defects, hazards and maintenance requirements to supervisors.

- Assist with welding and fabrication tasks when required.

- Follow project schedules and communicate progress with supervisors.

- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

About you

- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting,



balancing, walking, bending, and handling of materials

- Ability to read tape measure

- Ability to read technical drawings

- Ability to read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts

- Ability to operate vehicles or mechanised equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, mini loaders and skid steers if licenced or have a VOC for relevant machinery

- Welding capability when required is an advantage

- Ability to establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others

Desirable
- Forklift licence.

- Skid steer or machinery operation experience.

- Welding experience.

- White Card.

- Experience in commercial and industrial fencing projects.
