About the role The Finance Manager brings structure, compliance and commercial insight to support the brand's thoughtful and sustainable growth. The role provides financial discipline and clarity to guide strategic decisions. With a highly organised and detailed approach, the role balances precise bookkeeping and reporting with considered planning to guide informed decisions across cash flow, inventory, people and growth.

Key responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, inclusive of invoicing, payment runs and credit control

- Maintain accurate financial records, including bank reconciliations

- Deliver end of month, quarterly and annual reporting

- Prepare budgets and cash flow forecasts

- Manage BAS preparation and GST reporting, liaising with external accountants and advisers

- Support payroll administration, ensuring entitlements, superannuation and leave records are accurately maintained

- Maintain HR policies, employment contracts and workplace compliance records in line with Fair Work requirements





- Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding processes in collaboration with department heads

- Support the founders with team planning, wage budgets and role reviews

About you

- Proven experience in a finance, bookkeeping or similar role

- Strong capability across reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, payroll support, BAS and GST

- Practical understanding of inventory, cost of goods, margins and forecasting

- Advanced skills in Xero, with strong Excel and Google Sheets capability

- Working knowledge of HR administration and Fair Work requirements

- Confidence building processes, routines and efficiencies within a small business environment

- Robust communication skills with a considered, solutions focused approach

- High integrity, discretion and attention to detail

- Preferred experience within fashion, retail, wholesale, ecommerce or a product led business

Role is part time, equivalent to 3 days per week, but can be worked over 4 or 5 days (e.g. school hours).
