About the role

We are seeking to fill two exciting positions within our practice: a Permanent Part Time/Full Time Dental Receptionist and a Casual Dental Assistant. These are integral roles within our dental team, based in Manly West, Queensland.

As Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, managing the front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming experience for all who visit our practice. Your administrative expertise and interpersonal skills will be fundamental to the smooth running of our clinic.

As Casual Dental Assistant, you will provide chairside support to our dentists, assisting with patient care and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and dental practice protocols.

Key responsibilities

Dental Receptionist responsibilities

- Greeting patients and managing reception desk operations with professionalism and warmth

- Scheduling and confirming appointments, managing the appointment book efficiently

- Processing patient payments and managing financial transactions

- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations

- Answering telephone enquiries and providing information about our services

- Coordinating with dental team members to ensure seamless clinic operations

- Assisting with administrative tasks and practice management duties

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area

Casual Dental Assistant responsibilities:

- Providing chairside assistance to dentists during procedures

- Preparing and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols





- Assisting with patient comfort and positioning during treatments

- Maintaining an organised and hygienic treatment environment

- Supporting the clinical team with various dental procedures as required

- Following all safety and infection control guidelines

What we're looking for For the Dental Receptionist position:

- Must have previous experience as a dental receptionist

- Robust organisational and time management skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

- Proficiency with dental practice management software (preferred)

- Customer service excellence and a patient-focused approach

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

- Professional demeanour and appearance

For the Casual Dental Assistant position:

- Formal dental assistant qualification or relevant training (preferred)

- Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control protocols

- Manual dexterity and attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

- Flexibility to work casual hours as required by the practice

- Strong commitment to infection control and patient safety

- Reliable and professional approach to work

- Willingness to learn and develop clinical skills
