Freighter Group is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our Ballarat team as Head of Standard Development .

Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, this role will lead the development, governance and continuous improvement of Freighter Group's standard product portfolio, while managing a team of engineers and technical specialists.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading standard product development and engineering activities.
- Driving product standardisation, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Responsibility for testing, validation, warranty and repair solutions
- Managing and developing a team of engineering professionals.
- Collaborating with manufacturing, operations and product management teams.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and regulatory standards.

To be successful, you will have:





- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in engineering leadership and product development.
- Robust people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in trailer chassis design, development and manufacturing
- Strong understanding of trailer chassis engineering, product standards and manufacturing processes.
- Experience within manufacturing, transport equipment or a related industry.

Salary: $200,000+ per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. No agencies thanks, we've got this one.
