Senior Veterinary Nurse – Consult Nurse Position (Full-time or Part-time)

Hours: Flexible – Full Time or Part Time

A unique opportunity for an experienced Vet Nurse who enjoys the client communication and education and patient care and advocacy part of the profession.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Nurse Consults:

Client and patient interactions in the consult room – one on one with clients

Reasons for nurse consults include

Parasite prevention (heartworm and flea and tick injections)

Post-op checks – either in person or online

Nail trims, anal glands expression

Client communication – routine post- visit check-ins and veterinary follow up

Patient advocacy and education – e.g. dental care, patient care advice

Triage of walk-in and emergency appointments

In consult veterinary support

Disease focused communication e.g. Obesity, Diabetes, Cushing’s Disease, Dental disease.

While the above will be your focus, there are times when general nursing forms part of your role.

This position also offers the prospect to have input into how the Nurse Consult role develops and how it fits within our overall patient care and client education philosophy.

Flexible hours: we are open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with positions available up to 38 hours per week and approximately one weekend in six. We're happy to discuss what working arrangement suits you!

A qualified vet nurse with at least 2 years’ experience who loves client engagement, clinical excellence, and team collaboration
