About our client A locally owned and operated transport company specialising in a range of services, including sideloader operations, oversize loads and pilots, container and breakbulk storage, hotshot services, and specialised packing and unpacking of import and export containers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED!
- Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver’s Licence – essential.
- Proven experience driving MC vehicles.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A valuable understanding of load restraint and fatigue management requirements.
- The ability to complete vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver records.
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night roster.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions.
- A commitment to maintaining vehicles, equipment and freight in a safe condition.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Operating MC vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Completing port-to-metro freight movements and container deliveries.
- Transporting containers and general freight in accordance with delivery schedules.
- Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensuring loads are properly secured and compliant with load restraint requirements.
- Following all road rules, fatigue management regulations and company safety procedures.
- Completing delivery paperwork, logbooks and other required documentation.
- Maintaining a clean and roadworthy vehicle while representing the company professionally.
