The Aquatics Manager position is instrumental in the optimaloperation of the Aquatics division and is responsible for themaintenance of service and operational excellence. Reporting to theFacility Manager, the Aquatics Manager is tasked with themanagement of staff, patrons, stakeholders, and equipment withinthe Aquatic area of the facility. This role is a leader in thespace and has endless opportunities to develop and grow awell-established department.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for watersafety and is invested in positively contributing to the aquaticsindustry. The successful candidate will have:

- Minimum 12 months experience as a Pool Lifeguard
- Previous experience as an Aquatic Duty Manager, AquaticsFacility Coordinator or higher duties (desirable)
- Robust interpersonal and communication skills and theability to work effectively with a wide range of constituenciesin a diverse community
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Experience in effectively managing priorities forthemselves and other staff
- Current Pool Lifeguard License
- Current CPR & First Aid
- Current WWVP
- RLSSA Workplace Supervisor - Technical Operations

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure all aspects of the Aquatic environment, whetherplant or facility, are maintained to a safe and operationalstandard and are widely available to members, guests andstakeholders.




- Ensure the facilities are adequately staffed in accordancewith RLSS Guidelines, SOP’s and any other relevantregulations.
- Support in the delivery of Aquatics Programs alongside theFacility Manager and Swim School Facility Coordinator.
- Identify, develop and maintain a strong team of DutyManagers to ensure the facility has adequate onsite supportoutside of normal business hours.
- Review and champion all Viva Aquatic Policies andProcedures as required, not limited to the annual audit,alongside the Viva Aquatic Safety Committee.
- Quarterly review and assisted delivery of compulsoryin-service training sessions and records in accordance withViva Leisure and RLSS guidelines.
