About the role

Lightscape Building is an established residential building company based in the Blue Mountains, specialising in high-quality renovations, extensions, new homes and detailed residential construction.

With a growing portfolio of projects throughout the Blue Mountains, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Carpenter to join our team.

This is a hands-on position suited to a skilled carpenter who enjoys varied residential construction work, takes pride in their craftsmanship and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Our projects range from detailed renovations and heritage-style restorations through to extensions, structural alterations and new residential builds.Carry out all aspects of residential carpentry, from structural framing through to detailed finishing work. Undertake renovations, extensions and new construction projects. Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation. Maintain a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

- Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, decking and external timber structures

- Complete structural alterations, framing, flooring and roof carpentry





- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation

- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, accuracy and attention to detail

- Work collaboratively with site foremen, apprentices, subcontractors and management

- Maintain safe, clean and organised worksites

- Assist with mentoring apprentices and developing junior tradespeople

About you

- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent)

- Demonstrated experience in residential building and renovations

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building practices

- Ability to read and interpret plans

- Excellent finishing skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

- White Card

- Professional attitude, reliability and strong work ethic
