Westfield Smash Repairs in Airport West, VIC is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Apprentice Spray Painter to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Apprentice Spray Painter, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a supportive and dynamic workplace, working alongside experienced professionals to deliver high-quality automotive paint and repair services.
What you'll be doing
Assisting senior spray painters with preparing, priming and painting vehicle panels and components
Masking and taping off areas to ensure a clean, professional finish
Mixing paint colours to match vehicle specifications
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Learning about industry-standard spray painting techniques and safety protocols
Undertaking structured training and on-the-job learning to develop your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
A passion for the automotive industry and a keen interest in learning the trade of spray painting
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Positive hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with precision
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn
Previous experience as a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice required
