About the role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will undertake a range of façade maintenance, remedial, repair and cleaning activities on commercial and high-rise buildings using various access methods, including industrial rope access. Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, your work may include painting, patching, rendering, waterproofing, façade cleaning, inspections and other general building maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake rope access activities safely and in accordance with IRATA/SPRAT requirements, relevant Australian Standards and Sky5 procedures.

- Set up, inspect and use rope access equipment, safety systems and associated resources.

- Carry out façade maintenance, cleaning, painting, patching, rendering, waterproofing and general remedial works.

- Prepare surfaces, materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site requirements.

- Operate specialist façade maintenance and remediation equipment safely and effectively.

- Follow Secure Work Method Statements (SWMS), site-specific safety procedures and environmental requirements.

- Establish and maintain appropriate exclusion zones and safe work areas.

- Communicate effectively with Site Supervisors and team members regarding work progress, safety concerns and operational issues.

- Monitor weather conditions and assess their impact on safe rope access operations.

- Maintain equipment, materials and work areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

About you

- Current and valid IRATA or SPRAT certification appropriate to your level.

- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with workplace procedures.





- Physical fitness and ability to undertake work at heights.

- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently within the scope of your qualifications.

- Full Australian working rights.

- Availability to undertake casual work across Sydney and surrounding areas.

- Relevant trade qualifications, construction industry experience, White Card, Working at Heights training and experience with specialist façade maintenance equipment will be highly regarded.
