Hitch Campers is seeking an experienced RV builder with advanced knowledge of 12V electrical systems for a full-time position at our Coomera workshop on the Gold Coast. You will work on high-quality, off-grid adventure vehicle builds, combining electrical expertise with structural craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Wire, connect, and troubleshoot advanced 12V electrical systems, including solar setups, battery management, inverter systems, lighting, and off-grid appliances
- Perform structural assembly work on RV builds
- Install windows, roof hatches, awnings, water plumbing tanks, and external accessories
- Ensure all builds comply with Australian safety regulations, electrical standards, and premium quality benchmarks
- Read schematics and work from build plans
- Adapt to custom design requirements
About you
- Proven hands-on experience in caravan, motorhome,
or custom campervan manufacturing
- Confident installing and diagnosing complex 12V DC circuits and battery systems
- Formal electrical qualifications are a major plus
- Highly proficient with trade hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Ability to read schematics and work from build plans
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to custom design requirements
- Dependable team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to commit to a full time role
