Austal Defence Australia (ADA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team in Fremantle, WA. Reporting to the SSA Planning & Scheduling Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring of complex defence programs.

Working across production, engineering, procurement, and project teams, you will help develop and maintain integrated schedules that support successful project delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, governance frameworks, and industry best practices.

What's Involved

- Develop, maintain, and monitor integrated project schedules across multiple functional areas.
- Support the Planning & Scheduling Framework, ensuring alignment with program objectives, contractual obligations, and scheduling standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and scheduling discipline across projects and programs.
- Assist in implementing best-practice planning principles throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide scheduling support within an Earned Value Management (EVM) environment, ensuring schedules are accurate, defensible,



and aligned to program objectives.
- Monitor schedule performance, analyse variances, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and communicate schedule updates, performance metrics, risks, and forecasting information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Support resource planning and utilisation across multiple projects.
- Contribute to the enhancement of scheduling processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.

You'll Need

- Experience in project scheduling within defence, marine, manufacturing, production, infrastructure, or other complex project environments.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, supported by Primavera P101/P102 training or equivalent practical experience.
- An understanding of project planning and scheduling principles.
- Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and program controls would be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working on Defence contracts or within a highly regulated industry is advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse information and identify practical solutions.
- Effective communication skills and the confidence to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- A team-oriented approach, a willingness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
