About the role

Parthenon Marble is seeking a highly capable, experienced CPA/CA-qualified accountant to take ownership of the accounting function and provide accurate, practical financial reporting directly to the Directors. A key responsibility will be leading the complete transition of the accounting function from MYOB to QuickBooks. This hands-on position suits someone who can independently manage daily accounts, payroll, month-end reporting and cash flow while improving financial systems.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and lead the full migration from MYOB to QuickBooks, covering accounting records, customer and supplier accounts, invoicing, banking, payroll arrangements and reporting processes.

- Review existing MYOB records, resolve discrepancies, transfer and validate financial data, reconcile opening balances and ensure historical records remain accessible.

- Maintain continuity of payroll, invoicing and supplier payments throughout the transition.

- Independently manage ongoing accounting in QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets and management reports, explaining financial performance clearly to the Directors.

- Prepare cash-flow forecasts, monitor outstanding debtors and coordinate supplier payment schedules.

- Manage payroll, superannuation, PAYG withholding and Single Touch Payroll reporting.

- Prepare BAS,



complete GST reconciliations and manage relevant reporting obligations.

- Manage customer deposits, progress invoices and project financial records, monitoring job costs and margins.

- Coordinate year-end records and liaise with external accountants.

About you

- CPA or CA qualification essential.

- Advanced, practical experience with both MYOB and QuickBooks.

- Proven experience managing accounting system migrations, preferably from MYOB to QuickBooks.

- Substantial commercial accounting experience, including independently managing the accounts of a small or medium-sized business.

- Strong Excel skills and demonstrated capability across payroll, month-end reporting, BAS, cash-flow forecasting and financial analysis.

- Experience in manufacturing, construction, stonemasonry or a similar trade business will be highly regarded.

- Familiarity with progress claims, project accounting and job costing.

- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment and transparent communication.
