Hays is proud to be partnering with one of Tasmania's most recognised and successful businesses. With a reputation built on innovation and excellence, this award-winning organisation has achieved significant success both locally and internationally. Due to internal movements, this has resulted in an opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join the team in Hobart on a permanent full-time basis.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll lead a capable finance team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day finance function. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, financial compliance, audit management, taxation (with support from a reputable Chartered Accounting firm), governance, banking activities and financial control. You'll oversee the integrity of the finance function while ensuring all reporting obligations and compliance requirements are met.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making, while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and best practice financial management.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a technically strong finance professional with proven experience leading finance teams and managing end-to-end financial operations within a commercial environment.
CA or CPA Qualified, you'll bring:
- Strong financial reporting and statutory accounting experience
- Experience managing external audits and regulatory compliance
- Robust people leadership capability
- Excellent attention to detail and a hands-on approach
- The ability to build effective working relationships across the business
This role will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, leading from the front and taking ownership of the finance function.
What you'll get in return
You'll join a highly successful Tasmanian organisation with an excellent reputation, a strong culture and a stable leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior finance leadership role where you'll have genuine ownership of the finance function, direct exposure to executive leadership and the ability to make a meaningful contribution to the business. An attractive salary package of $150,000 to $170,000 + superannuation is on offer for the successful candidate.
