Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join their accounting practice in Fremantle, offering a salary of up to $120,000 plus Superannuation. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Australian public practice experience who enjoys managing clients, handling complex taxation matters and supporting junior accountants.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering a mix of taxation, financial reporting and business advisory work, with opportunities for career development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- Managing complex taxation matters, including CGT, FBT, GST and Division 7A
- Preparing BAS, IAS and other statutory lodgements
- Providing tax planning and business advisory advice
- Managing client relationships and responding to taxation enquiries
- Reviewing work completed by junior accountants
- Liaising with the ATO and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Working closely with the Director to meet deadlines and improve processes
What you’ll need:
- At least 4–5 years of Australian public practice experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- Ability to manage clients and review junior accountants' work
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field
- CA or CPA qualification, or working towards completion, highly desirable
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
