Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Senior Test Analysts to support software testing and quality assurance within an Australian Government agency. You will determine and carry out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services, working closely with development teams and business stakeholders. The work covers test strategy and planning, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

- Liaise with stakeholders to understand business risks and impacts, and define clear, measurable acceptance criteria for current or enhanced software features
- Work with development teams to understand system architecture, integrations, constraints, infrastructure and the downstream impacts of change
- Design, maintain and execute test strategies, test plans and test cases, including regression testing
- Perform system integration testing and user acceptance testing for new features, enhancements and defect fixes
- Identify, analyse, log and prioritise defects, and verify fixes through re-testing
- Maintain full traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test scenarios and test cases
- Select, apply and document suitable test techniques and methodologies to achieve effective test coverage
- Produce and maintain test artefacts, including test plans, reports and metrics
- Make sure acceptance criteria and definition of done are understood, agreed, documented and met
- Lead and coordinate testing activities, including allocating work, setting priorities and evaluating testing outcomes against business objectives

Required Experience





- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Test Analyst in complex delivery programs
- ISTQB certification or equivalent practical testing experience
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for test and work management
- Experience managing defects through their full lifecycle, from identification to verified closure
- Strong understanding of cloud-based environments and system integration concepts, including dependencies and downstream impacts of change
- Experience delivering system integration testing, user acceptance testing and regression testing
- Experience maintaining traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria and test cases
- Ability to present technical and testing information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Experience

- Experience on Defence or national security programs
- Experience leading or coordinating a small test team
- Exposure to test automation tools and practices
- Experience producing test metrics and reporting for program governance
- Advanced ISTQB certification (e.g. Test Analyst or Test Manager)

Security Clearance Requirements

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have a current AGSVA Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security Clearance
