Seventy Eight on Rundle is a busy, vibrant cafe located in the heart of Kent Town. We're looking for an experienced Barista / Duty Manager to join our team.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing consistently high-quality coffee in a fast-paced cafe environment
- Confidently managing the coffee machine during busy periods
- Overseeing daily cafe operations and ensuring smooth service
- Leading, motivating and supporting team members
- Providing exceptional customer service and building relationships with regular customers
- Opening and closing the cafe, including cash handling and daily procedures
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and maintaining presentation standards
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and workplace procedures are followed
- Supporting the owner with the day-to-day running of the business
About you
- Previous experience as a barista in a busy, high-volume cafe is essential
- Strong coffee knowledge and excellent milk texturing and latte art skills
- Previous supervisory or duty management experience is highly regarded
- Confident working independently and making decisionsExcellent communication and leadership skills
- A positive, friendly attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure and work efficiently
- Reliable, punctual and willing to jump in wherever needed
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
