About the role

Homebush Bay Foods is seeking a Morning Dishwasher to join our team on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday. This is a vital operational role within our warehousing and distribution facility located in Homebush NSW 2140. As a Morning Dishwasher, you will play an essential part in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across our food handling and storage operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and supporting the smooth functioning of our facility.

What you'll be doing

- Washing and sanitising all food service equipment, utensils, and containers according to food safety standards and company procedures

- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of dishwashing areas, including floors, walls and work surfaces

- Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently

- Sorting, rinsing and loading dishes, glassware and utensils into washing machines

- Inspecting cleaned items for damage or residue and reporting any issues to management

- Restocking cleaned items in appropriate storage areas

- Managing waste disposal in accordance with environmental and health and safety regulations

- Assisting with general cleaning duties throughout the facility as required

- Maintaining accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities

- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to supervisors

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a dishwasher or in a similar cleaning or food service role within a commercial environment

- Strong understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices, with knowledge of relevant regulations

- Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistent quality standards in a rapid-paced environment

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness





- Physical ability to lift, carry and stand for extended periods

- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work consistent early morning shifts

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Willingness to follow instructions and comply with company policies and procedures

- Current food handling or food safety certification is desirable

- Experience in a warehousing or logistics environment would be advantageous
