About the role
The Programmer role involves developing and nesting designs for the Sales Team using design programmes including Bris Cad, Pronest and Cadman. You will measure customer products and actual plates prior to nesting, work with the Sales Team to clarify jobs, and resolve technical issues that arise. This role requires interaction with workshop machine operators and collaboration with other programmers.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and nesting for the Sales Team
- Working with design programmes: Bris Cad, Pronest and Cadman
- Measuring customer products if drawings have not been supplied before nesting to develop workable drawings
- Measuring actual plate prior to nesting
- Checking thickness and grade prior to nesting to ensure best plate usage
- Working with the Sales Team in clarification of jobs
- Checking all DXF's and PDF's from Customer Templates
- Checking off cuts and sketching them for use in later work
- Problem resolution for issues relating to Quickest and other software
- Interacting with workshop machine operators and checking on cutting
About you
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Advanced understanding of Quickest, Bris Cad, Pronest and Cadman
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain a clean and protected workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
