Due to our growing project pipeline, we are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager or Estimator to join our team in Wetherill Park.

Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager looking to transition into an estimating role?

We welcome applications from experienced Civil Project Managers who are interested in moving into estimating and tendering, where they can apply their practical construction knowledge, commercial experience and understanding of project costs.

Previous experience in a dedicated estimating position is not essential. We value practical construction experience and are prepared to support the right candidate in making this transition.

This is an opportunity to work closely with senior management, contribute to competitive tender submissions and play an important role in securing future civil infrastructure projects.

What You Will Be Doing

- Review civil engineering drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.

- Prepare construction cost estimates, project pricing and competitive tender submissions, with support where required.

- Assess construction methodologies, labour, plant, materials and subcontractor costs.

- Review and price roadworks, pavement construction, stormwater drainage, earthworks, concrete works and associated infrastructure.

- Prepare and review quantity take-offs and construction cost breakdowns.

- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.





- Identify construction risks, cost allowances and opportunities for cost savings.

- Assist with tender clarifications, exclusions and commercial assessments.

- Work closely with senior management and the estimating team to develop competitive tender submissions.

- Assist with tender handovers, project budgeting and post-tender negotiations.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from experienced Civil Project Managers, Senior Civil Project Managers, Civil Construction Managers, Civil Estimators and Senior Civil Estimators.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Extensive experience working with Australian civil construction contractors.

- Strong knowledge of roadworks, drainage, earthworks, pavements and civil infrastructure.

- Experience managing civil construction projects, budgets, subcontractors and project costs.

- A sound understanding of construction rates, labour, plant, materials and productivity.

- The ability to interpret civil engineering drawings, specifications and construction documentation.

- Experience in civil construction costing, project budgeting or tender preparation.

- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Valuable Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to learn estimating software.





- Experience delivering projects for local councils, TfNSW or similar infrastructure clients is highly regarded.

Previous experience in a dedicated estimating position is highly regarded but not essential.

We recognise that experienced Civil Project Managers often have valuable practical construction knowledge that can be applied to estimating and tendering.
