About the Business

The Office of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence leads the South Australian Government’s response to domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV).

- It coordinates policy development,
- provides a coordination role for DFSV across government,
- engages with stakeholders to design and implement system change, and
- ensures lived experience voices are embedded in service design and decision-making.

The Office of DFSV is the coordinating response unit between the South Australian Government and the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (Royal Commission).

The Strategy and Governance directorate within the Office of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) is responsible for developing and implementing statewide strategic policy and advocating and influencing national policy. The Directorate is also responsible for commissioning,



funding and corporate governance. The Directorate sits within the Office of DFSV which works across government to ensure people of all ages, abilities and identities are safe, respected, and supported to be free from the experience and use of domestic, family and sexual violence.

Role Details

The Manager, Strategic Policy is a role within Office of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) and is accountable to the Assistant Director, Strategy and Governance for: Leading and managing complex projects on initiatives that influence change in social policy, practice and legislation regarding DFSV in South Australia.
Providing expert, evidence-based advice to senior leaders, executives and stakeholders on strategic directions, policies and actions regarding DFSV responses, while reporting on emerging trends risk and opportunities to inform strategic decision making.
Developing and fostering effective strategic partnerships with government and non-government agencies and community organisations to promote collaboration and awareness of high-quality policy development and best practice DFSV programs and responses in South Australia.




Providing leadership and direction to the strategic policy team to support best practice commissioning approaches for the Office of DFSV.

Salary Range: $130,046-$134,956 (ASO8)
